Frequently asked questions

Does the app send my form to the Questura or to Poste Italiane?

No. The app only prepares a PDF draft. You print it, sign it and hand it in yourself through the official channel (for the Permesso di Soggiorno kit, a post office with a “Sportello Amico” counter).

Is the PDF an official document?

No. It is a draft of the form filled with your answers. Always check it against the official instructions. Ask your post office whether it accepts a printed copy or wants the data copied onto the paper kit.

Which forms can I fill?

Permesso di Soggiorno kit (Mod. 209), Codice Fiscale request (AA4/8), Dichiarazione di residenza, Dichiarazione di ospitalità, driving-licence form (TT 2112), Partita IVA (AA9/12), Autocertificazione, Dichiarazione sostitutiva di atto notorio and Delega.

The app says my Codice Fiscale is invalid.

Type the 16 characters without spaces. The app tells you whether the length, the structure or the last check letter is wrong. An 11-digit provisional code is also accepted. If the code on your card is rejected, e-mail us the error message (not the code itself).

Where are my PDFs saved?

On your device only. Open them from Home > Recent Documents or from the Files screen. On iPhone they also appear in the Files app under On My iPhone > ItalyDocsHelper. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

Do I need an account? Does it cost anything?

No account is needed and the app is currently free.

What does the AI Assistant send, and can I switch it off?

Only the question you type and the last messages of that chat are sent to an AI service (OpenRouter), and only after you tap Allow. Your forms are never sent. You can take the permission back with the shield button on the assistant screen. Answers are general information, not legal advice.

The assistant says I reached today's limit.

The assistant uses a shared free allowance, so each device has a daily limit. It resets the next day. The guide and the forms keep working without it.

Which reason code should I choose for my permit?

The app explains each code in plain English, but the right one depends on your visa. If you are not sure, ask a patronato (free) before you submit.

How do I delete my data?

Delete a document from the Files screen, clear the chat on the assistant screen, or uninstall the app to remove everything. We keep no copy of your documents.
